Last Saturday I happened to be in Pasadena visiting my chiropractor and since Petco was in the vicinity I stopped to check it out.
Among the unhealthy fish and nems, I spotted a moribund small Haddoni, maybe 3", an other carpet that seemed to be an extremely bleached sick Gigantea about 7" and a bleached but apparently healthy striped Haddoni about 6" wide. For $30 it was hard to resist.
It was stuck on the glass and it took the Petco guy a good 5 minutes to carefully detach it. On my way home, I was already assuming I would have to put it in the HT with cipro, however given how sticky it was, I decided to try placing it in the DT first.
I prepared the right spot for it and it settled in less than 5 minutes. As s test I tried to feed it some scallop and to my amazement it devoured the small pieces closing on them fast like a mouse trap!
I am keeping a watchful eye for any warning signals for the next few week, but so far so good. It might not be a fancy blue or red haddoni, but you can't beat $30
Saturday, as soon as I placed it in the DT.

Sunday looking bleached, but good.

Today, just after feeding.
