yeah it will only take a month or 2 for me to get all the other stuff i need to get it up and running. a thrid radion and the reeflow return pump are at the top of the equipment list. then i still want to get like 300lbs of rock. plus all new sand. and power heads. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

For doing a sump in the basement, I would highly suggest a Panworld/Blueline pump. They handle head pressure way batter, will last for years of trouble free service....and I mean YEARS....plus will prob be quieter, and possibly save you some $$ on price (depending on the reeflow you were planning on)

Tank will be in basement also only looking at 5 ft of head pressure. I've just seen a lot of good things about the reeflow pumps. I'm looking at the dart/snapper hybrid.

Sump looks brand new. What did you use to clean it and how is the blue section used? Is it for a fuge?

I have a dart/snapper and it is pretty quiet but it definitely isn't silent. I was running a hammerhead that I purchased used and it was loud and definitely overpowered for my needs. However, I still keep it and the piping as a backup.

The sump cleaned up with just water and a blur scrubber pad from dollar general I tested it on the bottom gist to see if it would scratch it and it didn't. I did wipe it all down either vinegar afterwards. The blue divider is well Im not sure what it was for I guess to run half fuge half rock? I'm just going to stuff a bunch of rock in that section.

Thats what I did with my sump is fill it up with live rock. Ive got about 550 lbs. in my system as it stands.

so i thought the tank would have more than 2 one inch overflows. im thinking ill make the returns into overflows also so i can have 4 all together and run the returns over the back.

2 one inch overflows will handle plenty man. You would have to put ALOT of water thru them to have any problems.

Your limitation might actually be the size of the overflows (linear) as both of them look a little smaller than I would have thought. In any case, I would just keep the two one inch and have lower turnover. That's not a big deal as most if the flow in the tank will come through powerheads.
