3000.250 Rail Option

I have a new 210 Gallon build that I am working on. I have used both Vortech and Tunze Pumps in the past and I am leaning toward the Tunze for this tank. My problem is one end of the tank has a cabinet build so I don't have room or access for the magnet on the outside of the tank and I can't get to the back. However in a previous post it was recommended that the 3000.250 rail option could be used in a circumstance like this. My tank is a standard All-Glass with the top rim/lip. Will the 3000.250 work with this rim design? If so I will be ordering a new set of 6205 pumps to use in this tank plus the rail kit.

You would also need 6080.520. 3000.250 is just a generic hold all rail holder and you will need the 6080.520 to specifically mount a Stream 2 to the rail. It will work provided you can clamp over the trim, if the trim butts up to the wall so that you don't have roughly 1 inch free to attach the clamp over the trim, it won't work. My home tank is butted against the wall and I used a piece of wood trimmed to the thickness of the glass and screwed to the studs and then screwed the rail to the wood with stainless screws.

Ok, I believe that the solution that you are using at home will work for me to. I have also noticed another post where someone was referencing gluing or using silicone for a bracket on the tank wall. Is this an option for me as well?

Actually I am in the process of adding water to the tank at this point and I only have rock in it cycling for the next month. Therefore, I could drain it low enough. What is the part number that I would need? I will order today.
