3000 liter Norwegian SPS-tank

attachment.php

In the other side of the room I have a 1400 liter freshwater-tank (Was salt before the crash....) This contains Enantiopus Melanogenys sp"Kilesa" and Xenotilapia sp. "red princess". When I bulit the room, i combined my other hobby, wreckdiving. Since I have on parttime worked as a diver for a salvagion-company in Norway, saving artefacts fro WW2 wrecks, some registrated relicks also has found its way to my home. The timber around the 3000-liter is teak from a German wessel sunked in Norway. I artistic idea when sitting in the room to give me and my guests a feeling of sitting in a shipwreck looking out in the ocean through the aquarium....

This looks like the tank that's featured in 2010 Marine Fish and Reef USA.

Yes, that is correct. Alf Jacob came her just before the leak.... But things are going well again, and I look forward to get a visit from him again:-)

Thanks! Well, expensive. Yes, they are. But I dont know how the prices around the world or in the US. But normal store-price for an imported f.i. Acro is prox around 1000 to 1500 Norwegian kroner. (100 USD = ca 600 NOK). SO it is not diffucult to use money in this in Norway either ....:-)
Normal price for frags are ca 50-75 USD from private dealers.

Thanks Jossi.Great tank and great set up.What do you dose and do you have pics of your engine room.

Hej Jossi,
Beautiful tank and wood.

Re coral prices mentioned here earlier.
What is your VAT? same as Sweden?
Even with such high VAT, it'd be good to open a coral biz in Norge.

Great full tank shots and shots of your viewing room. It really shows how large this beautiful aquarium is!

In that picture just after the monti (undata?) are those two Atlantic Blue Tangs in the process of changing from juvinile to adult colors?

Thank you for showing you wonderful tank.

Sorry, but what is the material on the back and side?

Thx,

Dave.M

Thank You Dave. The tank is glass all over, both in bottom and all sides. 22 mm optic weissglass in front. There is a Juwel background mounted on the backside and the left shortside.

Hi!
I am using a big calcium reactor, of course a couple of big skimmers. Active carbon/rowaphos, nitrate-filter, dosing TM A +K every day, Kent iodine twice a week and Kent turbo strontium. All the last three dosed manually.
In other words the old fashion way.

Three Atlantic Blues!!! Even better! ... Very nice! :fish2:

3000 liters is roughly equivalent to 792 US gallons. it is 3.79 liters per US gallon or .2639 US gallons per liter.

very impressive tank and livestock! thanks for sharing

does your imperator eat your corals?

Thanks. The fish did touch one of my my LPS, and I removed this one to a fragtank instead of removing the Christmas Island. It is just to beautifu:-) SO far it has not been interested in any other corals....
