Yes I have done those mods on both skimmers. Tgunn bought my old triple skimmer.

Tgunn,

I have a fix for your ozone connection. Go see jayson @ the store he will show you what i used to fix the problem.

Hey Rob,

Was it something like this?

This seems to work fine. When the ozone is running I can't smell any ozone out of the top hole as it all gets sucked into the skimmer.

Thanks,
Tyler

These skimmers are sweet! Where are you picking these up?
The LFS here, Saltwater Connection sells them. I don't think he has them on his website but you could probably order one if you emailed him.

Ask for Jayson 204-255-9308 SWC. He has lots in stock. He has a web site in the works. Will post the link when done.

Tyler your pics do not show up for me?

That's strange.. Do they show up as a red X?

Basically I just used a 3 way brass tee fitting and slipped the ozone on to one and the pump on the other.

Tyler do not use brass! You must use plastic.

This isn't actually coming into contact with any water though so I figured it should be okay....

I couldn't seem to find a plastic pipe nipple that would fit the 3/8" ID tubing. Perhaps I'll have to look at Home Depot; I just tried Rona.

Tyler here is a pic on what I'm using. I drilled and tapped a barb fitting bellow so all the ozone is sucked into the skimmer. When the ozone goes off the skimmer is still able to suck air in.

Where'd you find those tiny barb fittings in plastic?

Thanks,

 You're right. I have the last week off this month; I'll have to head down there to pick up some mini-hose barbs and other goodies to convert my old skimmer into a massive calcium reactor.

hi HDTV guy
i think you probably have the best tank in the forum.. ur literally my hero. I think i am going to have a similiar bio load to yours so what skimmer would you suggest or are using?

i was considering the Octopus RPS-3000 RC, its a recirc rated for 400 gallons. Do you think it will be enough?

Also do you have any videeos of your sweet tank?

How about some pics, descriptions of your basement support system? That Skimmer almost as big as your mosquitoes - I' from Winterpeg ) )
