327Gallon DT build. Wish me luck.

Tanks is looking awesome man. Now I got to drag my @$$ out there and help you out with that electrical

So here's some progress. All pipping has been done. Hit a little bump on the road and lost some momentum but I'm back at it. Electrical will be next.
So I eneded up drilling another hole in the back of the tank to acomodate one more 1.5" bulkhead. Tank wasn't running right with the original two. Karen & Bob form Exotic were awesome once more and came out to my house to drill the extra hole.

After that Matt built me another box for the back to acomodate the room for the 3rd bulk head.

I modified the inside box to install the bulkheads with it inside allowing for ease of install.

Boxes already installed.

All drains installed. Return and Manifold have been done for a while.

how did you seal between the tank and outside box? I see the bulkhead fitting and that works for the tank side but wont the box side leak?

Electrical is all done minus some miscellaneous stuff. Also water station is all ready and lines have been ran everywhere it needs to. Updates with pics soon to come.

Just found your build....Nice setup! Two questions...who covered your stand? and where did you get the wood tile in your house?

Hey sorry for the late reply. The tile is from Floor & Decor. If you want something like my stand talk to JonnyU.

On another note the temps is up and running. Very happy with the outcome. Will post updates soon.

So the tank is up and running. I'm very sorry but I've been working so much I haven't had time to check in here.
So with all the piping working as it should it was time to move onto the wiring. I hated this part for a couple of reasons. My back doesn't handle well being cramped up inside the stand. I've never done anything with the APEX so half the stuff I had to figure out, the other half I asked JonnyU. LOL.

My second EB8 I opted to place onf the back where I have easy access to it that way I avoid running that many wires inside the stand.

AWCs and ATO pumps.

After the wiring was done and the tank was moved back into place I leveled the tank and on to the fun part.
I placed half the sand in the tank before the rock work to help in case a rock fell it wouldn't land on the bare bottom.

My ribs still hurt from outtibng all the rock in.

After I was all done I put in the rest of the sand, canopy and lights. I needed to see what it'd look like.

I made a phone call and my guy got me fresh 400 gallons of NSW. I placed a couple of plastic bags on top of the sand in the area where I was putting the water in. I used a very slow pump to pump it all in and avoind a sand storm. It all worked out great.
Water was clear by nightfall.

This is what the tank looked like next morning.

Here are the new residents. It was funny bc this guys spent almost 2 months in QT some of them 6 months. When I put them in and they figure out the size of the tank they were visibliy happy.

That's a shot from the tank yesterday.

Love the aquascaping. What kind of PAR are you getting on those lights? I would think you need one or two more. But I guess PAR mapping would answer that.

I have no idea about the par. I'm not running the lights that high bc a lot of my corals got cooked when I changed to t5s on my other tank so is have to let them recover. I'll have Marving check my par one of these days.
