Thanks! As you can see i have LED's but i dont know much about them. Im trying to do some research on whether or not they will be enough for coral. My LFS guy says they will be good enough for most softies but still looking things up on my own. My goal is two clowns (snowflake maybe, hopefully) and a gobie of some kind and some nice coral. Im going to keep it simple with a single tower of rock up the middle of the tank.

Is this your first tank? Your clowns will likely pick a spot and not move from it. I'm not sure what sort of goby you have planned, but assuming you mean something like a watchman, you might want to get something that swims around the tank.

Also, if you don't have a lid, you will need one for the goby. Mine ended up in my sump, and I still don't know how he did it without killing himself in the process. :)

this is the output for one of the LED fixtures. if someone can tell mme what this means that would be awesome!

this is not my first tank. this is my third actually but i have been out of the hobby for several years due to being in the army. Im back home now and should be movie around any more. The tank does have a lid, and i have had clowns before. Im just limited on what kind of fish i can out in a 34 gallon.

You have lots of options in a 34...well, maybe not a tang ;)

You might want to ask in the lighting forum. Every time I think I know something about lighting, I realize I had it wrong. :/

I had a cherub angel in a 33g cube and it was ALMOST too small for how active that little fish was. Flame angels are a lot larger and just as active, so I'd skip them in a tank that small. I found that my Solana looked quite full with two clowns, a yellow tail damsel, a yellow watchman goby and a small wrasse. Keep the fish small and really heed the tank size recommendations.

I don't have a lot of experience with the AI light, but the new Hydras are pretty nice, so if its similar it will be good. The smaller Radion and a Kessil A360w are also good options. I lit mine with an older Kessil A350. The wide model looks better.

the light you are referring to is made by wave point and is a great light for the money the chart is referring to the spectrum the light operates in according to temperature n wave length, its a basic light meaning there are know adjustments you get what you get you have the 10k/460 combo wich is equivalent to 3 T5's very close to one 10k with two actinic bulbs in color, so its plenty bright for softies, I have one in just actinic NM's that I use for accent in conjunction with T5's again its just a basic full spectrum light with no adjustment and fixed color that gets the job done great build quality imo...

Yea thats what i figured, just thought id ask. I am an advocate for ticking with the right amount and size of fish dpending on your size tank and not trying to push it. I like the AI Prime because with the price tag of 199 and the abiility to control it with my phone seems very cool!

Phil, Thanks for the info! sound like i will be okay wiith what i have at least for a little while any way. I dont plan on getting into any hard corals for a wwhile anyway.

no problem any time :) the ai prime is an awesome light imo, ive been reading around here an overheard some people say it can give a disco ball effect looked kinda cool to me just a heads up, the phone feature is cool for sure.

the wave point light is a solid light here go some links of what it can do...

Very cool! Probably going to order it when I really start stocking this thing! Thanks for the info and the video that tank looks great with that light!

very welcome and I know right id recommend the WP led to anyone looking for quality on a budget for a nano
setup...I look forward to your tanks evolution

I think I'll go with the prime LEDs once the cycle is over and hold on the the wave for a sumo one day. And thanks! Me too!

okay guys i need some help. I guess i messed up puting the water and sand in. the sand said no rinse but i think i shouuld have rinsed it. thheere is a layer of dust on everything and anytime i turn my power heads and pump on the whole tank is cloudy and wont go away at all... should i take out all the water and start over? after all this build up im upset that my tank is just a big cloudy mess...
