It’s official. I will be getting the 340 gallon tank. Here are some pictures of it currently set up.

Dimensions are 96” x 30” x 27” or 336.6 gallons with dual overflows

Equipment:
• Stand & Canopy â€"œ DIY
• Sump & Refugium â€"œ DIY
• (2) Geo Skimmers â€"œ Pump bad on one in picture
• (2) Mag 18’s
• (4) 175 watt MH’s
• UV Sterilizer
• Fans

Livestock:
• 400 lbs of live rock
• Various fish, corals, & invertebrates â€"œ most will be kept by current owner

Plans:
• Clean & treat Cynobacteria on live rock
• Buff out scratches. Acrylic & sand don’t mix really well. :)
• Upgrade lighting to (4) 400 watt MH’s. Will use the (4) 175 watt MH’s on my frag tank
• New pump for skimmer not being used. Will use second skimmer on my frag tank
• Upgrade flow probably with some Tunze’s
• DIY acrylic sump to incorporate sump & refugium all in one.
• Plan on having a mix reef with a concentration on Acro's

If you have any suggestions on equipment brands, please let me know.

Very impressive Rob. Do you have to help get it out of the basement it is in? Good luck on the move.

I know a guy in Lansing that has some 400w MH for sale. It would save you some money for sure. He is coming done here at the end of the month and said he wants to try to make it to a couple of meetings this year.

Also instead of using the Tunze pumps, have you thought about using the Vortech pumps at all. I know a few people that have them and love them. Also if you listen to reefcast at all they do a whole show with the guys to designed and make the vortechs. Good info.

Cool tank, can't wait to see more pics

I was also going to suggest the Vortech. I am installing mine today so you can come over sometime and check it out if you want Rob. I plan to eventually get another and the battery backup. The battery backup feature is one big pluses over the Tunze to me.

Fireworm,

I'd be interested in learning more about those MH's. Like you said, it would save some money that's for sure.

Gondore,

I'd like to see those Vortech pumps in action some time.

Thanks!!!

I will get in contact him and tell him to send you a pm. i know he has at least 2 ballast, but i think he only has one socket and reflector.

i 'd be up to help too, i am available during the day till about 1 pm then off to work for me

Do we have anyone lined up for Sunday to help unload this heavy thing? It was not much fun loading inside the trailer on Wednesday.
Chad
