36G - A small measure of Reef

Thanks guys.

Sorry for the late reply.

I have changed houses and so the tank had to be transferred also. Needless to say that many corals died and a rescape had to be in order. None of the fish perished, thankfully.

Here´s some pics of of the new layout. I´m slowly rebuilding it again with corals...

More pics to come.

Thanks for watching.

What are you shooting with? These are some of the best pictures I have seen...oh your tank's nice too....:p

Thanks. I´m shooting with a Canon 400D + Canon 100mm f/2.8 Macro lens for the closer shots, alternated with a Canon 18/55mm standard lens for the big pictures shots.

I only wish I could get frags from you. Your sps are colored amazing. Great job

Thanks man. I often think the same from the reefers in the US regarding frags.

Here´s a couple more:

I´ll try to take a decent fts in the next WC. It´s not easy because of the reflexes of the back windows.

Thanks,
André

Great shots andre:)
Will be waiting for the rest!

Hey Mike! Thanks man. Will do. :)

Lets see a new FTS

Done.

Do you feed your sps? What are your nutrient levels?

I do not feed my sps. My fish do. After trying many reef products in the past (feeding additives, carbon dosing system, etc), I feel that going back to the basics is something that makes more sense and less time consuming for me in order to take care of the tank in the long run. So, I honestly don´t monitor the nutrient levels as long as the majority of corals seem happy. So far, softies, LPS and SPS are thriving with good health and showing nice rich colors and that, nowadays, is good enough to me.

As promised, here are a couple of FTS that were possible to take, despite the daylight reflexes.

Thanks for watching.

Super nice! Amazing that you have that many nice pieces of SPS in there, and that it doesn't look cluttered. Love the look of the tank in the room. Like the rocking chair in front of the tank too - although I wouldn't do any reading it, just staring at the tank!

Perfect positioning of the the rocking chair compliments the beautiful reef..very relaxing for sure..

:beer:That's awesome andre!
Tank looks good from the side also!:inlove:

I never thought that a chair would match perfectly into an fts but in this case it did;)

Thanks for sharing and inspiring(gonna get myself a chair like that;) )
