Did you detail how you created your access panels in one of the build links you provided? If so, which one should I start with. If not, can you provide any more details. I like the looks of them.

Also, do you believe the "splines" to be necessary for stability (are they 1x2s?)? Most folks are not using them in the plywood builds and I am going back and forth on whether to include them in my build.

The "splines" work great as stiffening ribs. Correct, they are 1x2s. My intention with the ribs was to build the tank like a "tank" and minimize flex and deflection. I've exceeded my expectations, there is no flex or deflection! With the tank full of water, it is absolutely as dead nuts straight and flat as the day I constructed everything. I highly recommend this method, considering it's a DIY 8ft tank, it's given me piece of mind
