375 Gallon In Wall Build

Beautiful work and a beautiful tank--an inspiration.

Did you detail how you created your access panels in one of the build links you provided? If so, which one should I start with. If not, can you provide any more details. I like the looks of them.

Also, do you believe the "splines" to be necessary for stability (are they 1x2s?)? Most folks are not using them in the plywood builds and I am going back and forth on whether to include them in my build.

Thanks Lavoisier!
Stay tuned for behind the wall details :D

The "splines" work great as stiffening ribs. Correct, they are 1x2s. My intention with the ribs was to build the tank like a "tank" and minimize flex and deflection. I've exceeded my expectations, there is no flex or deflection! With the tank full of water, it is absolutely as dead nuts straight and flat as the day I constructed everything. I highly recommend this method, considering it's a DIY 8ft tank, it's given me piece of mind:)

LED light rack pics coming soon:thumbsup:

This is what you get when you buy a boat load of LED's :D

Wiring things went smooth, I used the Cree's with solder less connectors:thumbsup:

Thanks Jeff!
It is finished, I just need to dot a few I's and cross a few T's. My posts are behind my actual progress. When I have time, I post...sorry for dragging it out. I'll host a tank tour after the New Year :D

Looking forward to it. I have my 50 cube up and running. I need to build a skin for the stand yet. Have any of those bonsai frags I could buy from you?

Seriously I would love to see your accomplishment. Not on reefcentral as much as I used to be but if you want to have a get together over wings and beer I can help with beer. Thinking something from Bell's or flying dog. Like hops :) and your tank!!!
