38 gallon with external refugium. lighting is 2 - T5 36watt, eshopps hob protein skimmer. The blue hippo's are outgrowing the tank

I have no idea what the name of the yellow fish is, anyone know? I've never seen another like it. The tree leather is all over the place. It drops a couple babies a day.

I think it's probably time to take those Tangs out. That tank is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to small for even one tang let alone two and they seem to be quite aggressive. I am not sure what the yellow fish is, don't even have a guess in fact. But other than that the tank looks great. Corals are awesome. But take those tangs out ASAP

thanks for the ID. the yellow hog fish is a very kewl fish. I like it better than the royal gramma, very peaceful and never hides.

Yes, tangs have a tendency to grow. I couldn't watch the video for more than a few seconds :(

steve is probably jealous because he could never get a blue tang to live more than 30 days.
What a moronic thing to say. Anyone who gets into the marine hobby but disregards good animal husbandry guidelines and ethics should get out. I don't see anything to be proud of in the video. I can keep a tiger alive in a large dog carrier, but it's not a good idea. There are literally thousands of pages of information on RC advising against keeping tangs in small tanks, but you've chosen to blow it all off.

nice tank dude and dont listen to others about the tangs, they only go on what books tell them rather than personal experience.
What makes you a tang authority? On what evidence do you base your statement? It's the opinion of literally every reef expert that tangs should not be kept in small tanks. Promoting bad and unethical reefkeeping methods like this only hurts our hobby and make you look foolish.

People need to relax! I'm getting real tired of you "Tang Police".
And I'm getting very tired of people like you who promote poor husbandry methods just because you managed to keep a tang alive in a small tank. Noobies read your posts and think they can do the same.

they look healthy, which is 10000x more than what I can say about the tangs at the a ton of LFS.

its a small tank anyways, he can easily net them out and trade them.
