Hi biggles, this tank actually went through a bit of a bad patch but at the moment is starting to show some really good signs. I started zeovit on the tank about 2 months ago reason being that the tank was low on nutrient anyways so I thought why not! It's enabled me to feed heavier and has actually helped stabilise nutrient levels but...... The whole bedroom tank is starting to get on my nerves so I had 2 choices which were, A- shut it down or B- move it out into the front entrance hallway. So yes you guessed right the tank is eventually being moved but there's a twist, this tank will no longer exist as I'm actually upgrading to a custom made 1100x600x500 12mm rimless that will run an 8x39w ATI Powermodule and I'll be Using the Fauna Marin ZEOLIGHT system. I've really been enjoying the learning process with the current tank so I thought I would give myself some extra water volume if I'm going to shift it

Hmm...that makes 3 of us then... :rollface: I'm thinking of going some sort of hybrid Zoevit system.
Scotty why choose the Fauna Marin Zeolight system over Zeovit? - I already have some previous Zeovit experience hence I will meddle in some Zeovit craziness. :lol:

Sorry Mike I just can't help myself :lol: the tank won't be ready for a little while yet as I've just put the order in for it but the builders are pretty busy.
This tank won't be running any Zeovit as I'll be using the Fauna Marin system buddy, Spud unfortunately passed on a while back mate I was extremely mad when that happened because he looked fine but for some reason stopped eating
Thanks Dan, I'm going to be running BB again but to help with the stability of nutrient I'll be running a cryptic zone, this has been one of the lessons I've learnt with BB tanks.

Hi sahin, don't be sorry mate as it's all been a good learning experience to be quite honest. The main reason for the upgrade is basically to help with water volume and stability
I've been doing a bit of research into Fauna Marin and I like that the dosing is a little more laid back then Zeovit but also the system to me seems to focus on having 100% health which I really like

Reef river reptile you will find stock the colour enhancers bud but they don't stock any of the key additives to run The full system so I had to source them from overseas

Bummed to hear Spud didn't make it mate.
The new rimless display sounds very cool Scotty and you have a better handle on the issues related to BB systems now so i'm sure the hall tank will be as colorful as your cube.

Well I've learnt from my mistakes buddy and just hope to improve on it.
I can't wait either mate but the longer it takes the more im learning so it's a good thing

The research I've done and talking to a friend who runs one has lead me to believe that they are good for keeping a little nutrient in the system especially in the case of BB tanks where it is needed

I'll be using the 2 Tunze 6095 that I have in the 3ft for now Mike and I'll just see how they go, if it isn't enough I'll add some more

I saw a 3" blue faced angel at Jack's last visit Scotty, it was breathtakingly beautiful and i only had to look from that fish to Keith who was already shaking his head at me to know the answer was no
That doesn't mean you can't have a go, we can work out if they're SPS safe that way without risking any of my babies - sounds like a plan to me mate :thumbsup:

The real problem is Jack and his guys keep poo pooing my fish selections lol. So far i'm not allowed to have a Sohal tang, every angel fish i like and who knows what else that looks cool
