anY PICS OF HOW YOU MAED THE BAFFLES?

And a shot of tequila for the gentleman:smokin: . Right now the sump doesnt have any baffles, just the magivered IO bucket for a bubble tower and a strip of acrylic siliconed in to hold the DSB. I need to add some eggcrate with guttergaurd around the pump intake so that inverts and small rocks don't get sucked into the DART and potentially cause it to fail. I also want to do the same thing by the DSB to hold in critters. Ill snap some pics when its done.

Thats looking really good! Thats a lot of water flow! Just one question, how are you going to get the clam off of the egg crate? Oh and another one, how do you keep your egg crate so clean?

Hey SoFloReefer, maybe this has been discussed already if it has I appologize. I confess I havn't "read" all of this thread.

Where do you get your square frag plugs from?

Thansk

Im not planning on moving the clam but if I need to I can pull it off. Since the actually area on the egg crate is small that the clam's foot makes contact with it can be removed. The square frag plugs are mostly slate tiles from the HD or Lowes that come in a 12" x 12" sheet or 144 tiles. The egg crate stays clean because there is so much flow in the tank and the water is fairly clean. I grow alot of chaetomorpha in the sump which probably helps keep nitrates and phosphates down. All the detritus and excess food in the tank is caught buy the filter bag. I need to figure out another strategy with the flow because it is almost too much. All the corals love it and the fish are fine but it flips over frags on a daily basis. All the snails probably don't help either.

Ive been doing some work on the tank the last few days actually. I added some siphon breaks and some valves to the returns. Ill snap some pics now

What does the bucket in the sump do? I'm assuming it is some kind of bubble trap. How does it work?

It has 1" holes all along the bottom and a 7" filter sock in the top. It traps all the bubbles.

Awesome looking setup start to finish.. read the whole thread.
This is inspiring.. but I am sad to come to the end of the thread! Awaiting more pics.
