Thanks for the kind words. I originally went with the darker blue dye because I was afraid of what the UV light from the halide would do to the epoxy in the long term. Its been two years and the epoxy looks like day one.

Cool thread! If you would do it again, how much would it cost you to build it? And how finicky are the mangroves i ordered some for my refugium?

Its hard to say what cost would be but I would try to pick up stuff used on the forums and save that way. I bet I could do the whole thing for around $1500.
Mangroves have done well for me if the water parameters, mainly Magnesium so I understand, are kept up and the leaves are sprayed down regularly to remove salt deposits. When they don't do well they drop their leaves then die. Just wondering, what do you pay for Mangroves online?

wow, you must really enjoy BUILDING things more than operating them..... I am sort of similar, thats why whenever i build things i like to automate them as much as possible. BUILD more!
