I never payed attention before you mentioned it. So I just moved the eggcrate back and fourth, the tank is slightly dimmer and the lights don't seem to blend as well with the eggcrate in place. Kinda hard to explain...

But that's why we have cameras right? It's not as dramatic as it looks in the picture but there is a noticeable difference.

I've never noticed it before though, I've also had the eggcrate on for the past year and a half, it's just never on in pictures I've taken.

Now you've got me curious to see if white vs black egg crate made a difference. I just compared the two side by side and there's no difference visually in case anyone was wondering.

Wonder if it changes the par reading? Also if it spreads out the light more? Thinking about getting some
