rrrr.
the 15% is expired.

ahhh you waited to long mike...

If you are concerned about clean power, then put a decent UPS between the generator and your equipment.

they sell adapters to change it from rv plugs to the normal ones.

Where can one pick up or order these adapters? Sorry, I know nothing about RVing.

i just picked mine up and have to go get a gas container, gas etc...so that wont be anytime soon.

whoever does...let us know how loud it is in real life! :)

Unpacked and fired up the unit this afternoon, started on the first pull. As I have no prior experience with generators, I have no reference whether this unit it loud compared to others. I must say that it is quieter than my gardener's lawnmower, but louder than when both my house AC units are on. I hear it running when I'm inside the house, but not annoying at all.

FWIW, I whipped out my Radio Shack decibel meter and took some readings. Standing next to the unit it read about 80db. At 20 feet away, it read about 70 db. I think that's the distance they rate these generators at.

Thanks cthetoy again for the heads up on the generator and gas tank!

I got a 8x11 print out of "receipt" that listed the purchase price and discount is this good enough to submit as the rebate receipt, I asked the employee and he said this this is it.

I would think Home depot or Lowes has them also, look in the electrical part, where they have extenion cords

This comes in packs of 2. Anyone want to split one? I plan to wire this into an outlet box. 10 gauge wire, 50 foot length makes for a good extension cord. Should come to about 30 bucks each after shipping.

they sell a small adapter plug that switches it over to a regular plug, it's about the size of a ding dong, I have one on my rv, it was like 5 bucks or less, then you use a regular cord

I just purchased mine and I'm going to adapt it to propane.

how are you going to do that?

when you finish...can you give a parts list etc?

thanks!!!

finally got the time to play around with the generator. Filled it up with fluids, gave it one easy pull and fired right up! Very nice!

I took some measurements with a DMM (after about 5 mins warm up) and here's what i got:

12VDC:
no load at the receptacle = 15.5V
no load at the clamp end of the supplied cable = 17.5V
with 75W load = steady 12.1V

120VAC:
no load at both receptacles = 127V

240VAC:
no load at the receptacles = 252V

Regarding noise...it didn't bother me. Maybe i am biased cuz i know how loud my chainsaw is. However, for recreational purposes i could see how it might be annoying background noise.

All in all a great purchase for the price. Thanks again cthetoy for the great find!

I do have a question, I will be using a fuel stabilizer but since I won't be using the generator much, what's the best method to shut down? Per the instructions you're supposed to switch "OFF" then kill the fuel. I know someone mentioned to kill the fuel first so that the fuel is cleaned out downstream of the fuel tank. With the stabilizer does it really matter?

thanks!

the sta-bil is to keep water your gas from seperating and becoming turpentine over time. If you just shut off your generator you will leave a small ammount of gas in the carb. Over time it will evaporate and leave any deposit in the carb thus ruining for when you want to start it next time.

IMPORTANT INFO:
SPOKE TO My KRAGENS INSIDE PERSON AND I WAS TOLD THAT "IF YOU BUY THIS UNIT FROM KRAGEN, AS SOON AS YOU PUT GAS IN IT IT IS NO LONGER RETURNABLE TO KRAGENS. SO basically if you buy one take it home fill it up to test it and it does not work, you have to contact the champion CO. to get it serviced.
THERE IS NO TAKING IT BACK FOR A REPLACEMENT OR MONEY BACK to kragen......
thought all should know this..............

You might have to go back to the store and ask for an Rebate Authorization receipt.
