400w Mh ?

That thing looks like a monster. Nice color too. Will this be under support beams or will you have it in the basement?

I have a 180 w/ 3-400s(PFO HQI ballasts) and 2-6' VHO's(PFO). I have acros on the sand bed that are growing and look great! Also have a 75 w/ 2-400s and 2-4' VHOs. Haven't used the lumanarcs yet......yet.

Some guy was selling it up north in the far burbs Garen. It's an AGA Mission style stand/canopy and from what I hear the only year they used real wood, not presswood and vinyl. It's in great condition, couple of dings but nothing bad.

The tank is on the ground floor joeyjoeg.

Do you have your VHO's in a canopy desjardiniidj? I think I'm going to be able to use this canopy but not coming up with any idea on how to mount them. I've noticed also that I don't really see anyone using the 72" VHO bulbs, mostly sticking to the 60". Any reason why?

Before I switched to Luminarc's, I had (3) MH in spider reflectors mounted to the inside top of my homemade canopy. I also had (4) 72" actinic VHO's - 3 in front and 1 in back.

One reason to use 60" is that IceCap ballasts are rated by the # feet, so you can light (3) 60" @ 15', but only (2) 72".
Or you can light (4) x 48" lamps.

I went with the Lumenarc mini's and the Coralvue dimmable 400W ballast. Now I need to make a bulb choice.

What would you guy's recommend for a more blue colored bulb? I am going to add VHO actinics but not for a while.
