400watt 20 k bulb

i am looking at buying new 400 watt single ended 20k bulbs. What you think is the best

On an electronic or magnetic ballast, Helios hands down. On an HQI, Radium or Helios.

It is a magnetic ballast. What is a HQI. thanks for the advice. One more thing. I know that on a digital ballast it fires the bulb different from a magnetic ballast. But other than that do the blubls run different on different ballast.

HQI is a double ended buld, and bulbs will look different on a electronic or magnetic ballast. I use both with xm 20k two one icecaps and two on advanced mag.ballast, love them on both !

The electronic ballast dont use as much power , do to heat wast . And can run both HQI and single end were mag cant always !

Dont mean to hijack the thread but I have almost the exact same question, anyone have any suggestions for an HQI 400W DE 20K
