OK so I picked this thing up for $20 and that is all I am asking for it. I am more interested in trading for coral frags than the money. It is a DIY sump made from a 40g TruVu acrylic tank.

I could be wrong.... but, true vu tanks usually have a center brace on top of the tank. Has sombody cut out the center brace? If so, it will need one added back in.

You are correct...

This thing is a pice of work, but he only had it running at 6 inches of water so he must have thought the brace was not needed.

If they glued the baffles in right (use acrylic and weld-on), there is no need for the center brace.

Nu2SW,

You sound like my kids, my friends, and strangers on the street...

What can I say I 38 and I still love the checker board vans. Oh and I wear tie die as well. I'm just a rebel without a fashion clue.
