426 Gal L Shape custom

I don't know how accurate your fish room diagram is, but you might consider raising your FW holding tank up to the ceiling so that you can gravity feed evaporative water instead of pumping it.

Hurry up!

Ha, one step at a time there.

Bricks are almost done, then we can really get cracking getting the interior of the house set up.

because thats boring.. everyone has a box, i want a little more than just that.

Plus instead of having 90" front and 54" side, i now have 54" side, 24" front, 24" side, 66" front giving more display area while not taking all the space out of our living room.

im starting to think that the brick layers will never finish, its either raining/freezing or they no show and its 70 degrees and sunny out... Id fire them but dont want to wait 3 months for a new crew. I hate the construction industry, remind me to never build a custom home again and just buy a built one.

Bright side, interior is all painted, cabinets delivered and will be installed friday. Granite should be in next week maybe and all bath fixtures installed with cabinets.

Man, you need my builders. They rock! There hasn't been a single weekday since we broke ground that there hasn't been a crew of some sort here at work. Some days it's only 3-4 people, some days it's 15, but there's always progress of some sort. This is the first time I've ever seen a crew like this.

we have some good crews some bad, framers were great, drywallers worked through the nights, and painters the same as well.

Electrician, slow as a snail, brickers, slower than slugs... Win some, you lose some i guess. Id have a heart attack if i ever saw 15 people working at once there haha

Cabinets should be all installed soon enough.

I have a 150 gallon rubbermaid thats been running several weeks. It now has 6 green chromis in it haha. They seem to enjoy the massive swim room they have.

I like that you even aquascaped your Rubbermaid, with the Steve West-inspired channel running between the islands :) Any progress on getting the tank extended to the wall? :D

no progress, in fact she threatened to do the opposite haha.

Rock bin actually only has 2 large man made rocks and a few 1 lb LR's. But the channel is cool nonetheless.

house is moving along nicely now, brick 99% done, vinyl all done, all cabinets in, granite going in this afternoon, tile almost done, all light fixtures in.

Flooring and deck will be the next to big things done. Driveway last I guess. Shooting for middle of april to be in the house, hope to have the tank in by middle of may.

Pics to come this weekend.
