I think there is. The instructions say that the program will survive two hours without power. Unfortunately, I don't think the display lights are covered by the backup generator (much more important to keep everything warm and keep the pumps running), but it seems easy enough to program. I just finished reading the instructions.

Not much new happening. We're still waiting out the cycle. I did a couple of water changes on the 90 yesterday because the cycle seemed to have stalled with lots of ammonia. The rest of the system is _finally_ showing a little ammonia. :) The LFS is now holding five fish for me. Two auriga butterflies (for a fish-only tank as live rock cleaners), a convict tang, and two filefish. The rock guy has cut down a lot of the rocks but still a little more to do.

Other than that, the whole family's been sick all week. I don't even think we've unpacked much. Sigh.

Sorry you're all sick but hang in there Andy. Let us have some pics when the rock guy is done (and you're feeling better). :)

Thanks, Alan! The tank kind of looks like New York harbor at the moment: plastic, concrete pieces, and lots of Great Stuff foam strewn about in lots of little pieces. :) I think it'll look really good in the end, though.

That would be nice, but I'm chained to my computer. I received a project back from proofing yesterday on a rush (of course) and it's taking forever. I've already come up around 3x the normal number of corrections for a book its size and I'm only 1/4 of the way through it. Ugh. Slow going.

:) Actually, not nearly as fun at all. Sigh....

And, you make money instead of spending money... ;)

And, fortunately, I get paid per correction. But it's still not fun at all.... Actually, it's the part of my job that I endure in order to get to do all of the fun parts. But I guess there's not a single job in existence that doesn't have some of that. Unfortunately.

Sorry. I was testing the thread. I got some post notices without any posts. Nevermind....

Still waiting on the cycle. In fact, it's time for a new round of tests today. I was supposed to see the rock guy yesterday or this morning but haven't seen him yet.

Jeez, 7 kids? Congratulations!

You just now noticed that?  :smokin: Not so much fun at times, especially with 4 of the 7 being 6 years old or less (youngest is a year)...trying to take steps to make sure there are no more!!! ;)

How goes the move in? Hope you guys are feeling better...any new pics for us of the setup?

Ouch! Good luck, Jason!

Since we've been sick twice since the move-in--sigh--it's going pretty darn slowly. Lots of boxes and piles of stuff everywhere. In fact, I was still fighting a fever yesterday. But, it's really nice to be living here.

I'm still waiting out the cycles. The 90 that's alone is still in the nitrite stage, but it's starting to show algal growth and life is springing up. I've done some water changes in there to try to give the bacteria a break from the high ammonia. The aiptasia really seem to appreciate the water changes.

The rest of the system has yet to show any nitrite, but there is still some ammonia.

So, given that the system pretty much looks exactly the same, I decided to start shooting the small stuff. So, copepods on the glass with a very pregnant female:

Hey! It's a Canon 20D body with the MP-E 65mm macro lens and a twin flash mounted on the end of the lens. I didn't use a tripod for the shot but I did brace my left hand against the glass.
