This was an ultralife. I'm sticking exclusively with autotopoff.com from now on. I've had great experierences with their stuff.

dont feel alone Keith, my favorite 300 reef had the same thing happened a month ago. the RO top off unit got stuck and never stoped. 70 % loss in fish 100% coral and 95% of inverts doa. less than 3% salt when i got thier. it broke my heart. but now it is looking good again, and so will yours. any ETA on your new tank

Amen to that Keith. I LOVE my unit from autotopoff.com. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't that one that failed on ya!

Super pumped, super pumped, super pumped!

It has arrived at a local warehouse and is in good shape! I hope to move it in this Friday afternoon and evening!

I still have to work the logistics out, get a trailer, etc, etc. but I'm excited!

Tonight I'll post pics of the yard etc. to get ideas on the move!

Ok here's the deal. I had what I thought was 13 people lined up last Friday. Ended up only 8 showed up. With 8 we could barely budge the thing. I mean literally barely move it so there was no way. I left it sitting where it was.

So today was supposed to be moving day (by professional movers) but it has been raining like crazy the last 2 days (and still is) here so the ground is way to soft. It wouldn't be safe to move so I'm trying again for next Friday and we'll see. It's killing me having it so close yet so far.

Are you going to use suction cups like Tri did? Those things are really awesome. Good luck, and do plan it when conditions and muscle are optimal.

Ya I have 6 of the double cupped orange handle ones that I borrowed from jnarowe. Sanjay used them and now I have them! Hopefully I get this puppy moved soon and can send them back to him!

Well it's most of the way in but not totally!

The dumb moving company only sent 5 people when I told them at least 10! :furious:

Anyway, here are some pics of them getting it where it is now.

Unloading from the truck:

Moving it across the yard. The general Idea was to put it on 3 furniture dollies and put plywood down overlapping to go through the yard. The fence has a big opening and that was no issue and fortunatly it was already on it's side so once uncrated it came through the door like butter!

Pic of uncrating right outside the door:

Once in the door it was easy to roll into the fish room. I'm not sure why they didn't want to spin it around in the open room but the guy wants to spin it once it's on the stand which is OK but it seems pretty pointless to me.

Resting waiting to go on the stand (backwards)

They are coming back Monday to finish the job!

Awesome. Looking forward to seeing it in place at last.

For now, set your camera on Auto and use the flash. You'll get crisp pictures indoors every time, Mr Shaky Hands. ;)

I can't believe they left with it so close to being in its place! :mad2: I bet you could get some local reefers to use your suction cups and get it in there tomorrow. Or, just wait another day.
