Wow. Just curious, when the lights come on, can you hear angels singing in the background

More like angels with money flying away!

I promise I'll have a pic update this weekend.

Nothing major has gone on. Still haven't plumbed the chiller. Did successfully quarentine and added to the display a red sea sailfin tang and a solar wrasse.

I currently have a pair of blue throated triggers in the 3rd week of quarentine so they'll be going in in a couple weeks. Manderin in a 20G quarentine with live rock, etc. for 2 weeks. He's now taking mysis with vigor so that is excellent news. I'll add him with the triggers in a couple weeks.

Haven't added any corals, nothing has died so it's not changing much. Over the past month or so growth has really picked up. and things generally have been looking really good so I'm quite happy with where the tank is at this point.

Blue throats and cross hatches are as close as you can possibly get to reef safe. I've never heard of any real issues with blue throats. Maybe an occasional shrimp munch but that's it.

cbui2 I hope you deep pockets! Crosshatch pairs are really really pricey.

 well, I have seen crosshatches sold for fairly good prices and does it really matter? I have seen them from nearly $1K each to less than $300 each. I find that in my encounters with bluethroats they seem to have a lot of friendly personality though.

yeah keith, lol..lfs down here said he will give them to me for $675 pair, of course i told him yes i will purchased them when my tank is ready.. it's Bart or cbui2. how do you save name or info at the bottom or simply just type it.

in the user control panel you can add a signature line. but I actually like the bluethroats better as far as how they interact with me.

Nice setup Keith!!!!

I have been wondering what kind of fish the big players like. I have a little trigger in my predator tank he is only half the size of my lion fish but an agresive little fish. They have lived together for a year now. I never knew any of the species were reef safe.

I almost forgot.. I love the trim your accessible trim. You mentioned you got it from Servo. Can you tanke some pics of that and give me a little better understanding. I have put a bunch of trim in my house with crown molding and wanted to do some of it by the tank. I just could not figure a way to let me have it look nice and access it from the front. That is the coolest sleek design and I would like to steel it from you now.

Thanks for sharing

Eric

I promise a more meaningful update soon. Tank is doing well and little to no changes

OK on the trim

An updated pic of the whole wall

Side view with the top open, you can see the hinge holding it on the far end. The gap from tank top to wall is 10"

The weather stripping just to seal and make it silent

Here is the top with the hinge

The "notch" that allows it to look seemless.
