5.5 AGA, all-in-one system (Pictures)

This is a project that ive been working on/off for the past 2 weeks, and its almost done.

I started with a stock 5.5 AGA, then I added a custom made black plexiglass background, with 2 glass dividers behind it, so it made a similar set up to a nano cube...

Chamber 1: Chemi-pure, carbon, media sponge
Chamber 2: My "refuge" with LR rubble and Chaeto (which is on the way)
Chamber 3: Maxi-jet 404 106gph pump

As for lighting, im gonna only be keeping zoo's in the tank, so they dont require THAT much light. I decided to go with the Current USA 2x18watt fixture. It give me independent control of the acitinics (460 & 420) and the day lights (10k and 6700) along with a lunar light.

The mounting legs that came with the system did nto reach the ends of my tank, so i cut two pieces of plexiglass and laid them accross the top for them to sit on, I like how it looks...

Now comes the fun part, finding zoo's to put in it

Looks good, wish I had used that fixture with separate light controls.

But the way you have it on the tank makes me nervous. I'd recommend you use eggcrate instead so the legs can't slid and drop the fixture into the tank.

jmo,

That is why i have the legs glued onto the poles....it will be very hard for the fixture to fall in the tank.....

I can wait til its done cycling though......I just spent about a 150 bucks on some nice zoa colonies for it, should be here on wends (the 28th) going tomorrow to pick up 2 more colonies (around 50polyps each) here locally, and I have 2 frags from trading other corals for coming in the mail sometime next week

My 24 gallon nanocube is gonna be a little crowded with zoo's til this tank gets done cycling, but then I will fill the tank, and see how much room I have left, then back to more zoo hunting :D

Only thing not liking this tank is my bank account, lol.
