5.5Gs in the making w/pics

well my budget is as LIL as i can spend on equi so i can spend a lil more on corals :)

i will look into that light. you don't think heat will be an issue?
 
dude. i wish i had $900 to spend on lights. i would proberly have the highest cost 5.5 gallon project out there. :)

this will save you MONEY in the long run. IMO. you can have this light on for 24/7 for 2083 day before you have to change the bulb.
that's crazy...

yeh i know its crazy...but the funny part is that its an energy and money saver.....

if only it werent so expensive upfront :(

i meen...if it wasnt as expensive than people could save money by using it...but i thought youd like that light...its certainly inovative...

i cant wait to see the tanks of the rc members that get them :)
 
didn't have time to do anything with the tank this weekend. i was
too busy with salmon fishing and hunting.

well it fully stain and painted inside. now i just have to glue the feet on.

hopefully i can order the light and skimmer this week and skimmer. which skimmer dunno yet?

i started up the tank last night,
AC 300 is working great with the mod. i end up using 6lbs of tonoka LR and 5lbs of aragernite. i have pics but left my usb cable at home so i have to wait until tonight to post them up for you guys.
 
ok i finally got them post. the tank is lite by a 1 watt PFO moonlights for now until i get the light in.
i'm also playing with the new camera. so forgive me :)

thanks everyone for the kind word. well i haven't order the lights yet...but i did restack the rocks. test the h2o and everything is coming along fine, think about doing a water change(1.5week) and impella mod( cut it down to 3 instead of the 6 blazes). what do you guys think?

i wanted to bump my post so i didn't have to dig to far. when i update. :)
 
Where did you get the tank itself from? and its safe to put that many critters and fish in a 5.5 gallon? im asking because i am thinking about setting up one
 
it pretty safe, if you know how to maintane it. but you are every limitted to what knid of fish you can stock it with.
