haha I'm more worried about the acro's and the polyps than the clamNice. Between that acro and the polyps, that clam may need a little assistance down the road..

There's no secret guys, not that I know of at least lol just a lot of hard work and dedication reallyWhen I caught up with Andrew we were discussing people trying to find "the secret" to reefing and not realising that there simply isn't one. It's all about the time and effort you put into your tank but, mostly, it's about why you do and how much you love doing it and the animals in your care. If you love them and enjoy reefing and look after them, they'll reward you with glorious colours and PE!
I ain't goin' anywhere near that stuff! :fun5: lolLooking great! So in fact Kevin poop is the secret ingredient? Disgusting!![]()
haha I'll try to refrain from that, I can't make many guarantee's though :lmao: and no frag off the tricolour, I want it to colour a little more and grow a little more too before anything goes under the pliers lol that is a nice big glue patch to kill off the bastard vermetid that was annoying the acro  the acro is soooo much happier now! It's starting to get that really nice deep blue-purple to it again which is awesomeThose last pics are great Dom, there will be NO zoa buying on our LFS trip just so you know........... you took a frag off the tricolor by the looks of things.
The best explanation i've read on what the 'secret' to keeping a cool SPS display is Dom
Thanks MattNice shots!
How do you sex Flame Hawks???
Thanks Matt
I have no idea lol they don't actually have distinguishing markings between the male and females but hawkfish and sequential hermaphrodites so they're all born female and transition into males if necessary. So from that, what I do is get two hawks where one is half the size of the other and let them sort out who's what but given that the new two have already almost completely paired up, the larger is the male and the smaller the femaleI don't know 100% but the behaviour is showing that I'm right lol
Thanks Matt

Both! I would literally die with excitement and happiness if I could get my hawks to spawn :inlove: lolAre you trying to raise little Hawks or just wanted a pair?
Yeah, sometimes a male will have two or three females paired with him and they'll all live in separate coral colonies and he'll just patrol around lol if I had a tank big enough I would love to do this!Cool! I had no idea Hawkfish were sequential hermaphrodites.
I learned something new!!
That would have been amazingIt's funny you say that... In my old 265, I actually kept a group of long nose Hawkfish together for this exact reason...
Only makes sense that flames are the same...
Thanks Mark! If I only had a macro lens!! I have some bloody amazing shots to take if I had one of thoseGreat pics Dom!![]()
