I'm definitely very happy with the new hawks, they've settled brilliantly!

Good to hear you're enjoying a bit of zeo goodness! lol clarity is something that makes a tank look even better!

Dom, aside from the sponge power that Andrew mentioned, which zero products do you think help with the clarity?
Do you ever use coral snow?

Sponge power - Big tick!
Carbon - Big tick! (I use the KZ brand passively in the sump, quality stuff)
Zeozym (or coral snow) - Big ticks to both!

They're the three products that blast the clarity for me :) Zeozym is essentially coral snow with some added enzymes that help increase skimmer performance but it also does wonders for clarity like coral snow does! :)

Well the new pair of hawks have settled into the tank brilliantly :) They're not quite completely paired yet but very close now :)

Hawkfish do the dandiest things though :lolspin: and my maxima just doesn't give a crap either!

Yikes!

A beautiful and big clam Maxima!

This Hawkfish like to be in danger.

Suddenly the clam closes and there I want to see the bastard stay with this guy snob! :lolspin::lolspin::lolspin:

They both enjoy living dangerously! The clam is their favourite location haha the beauty is the clam gets crawled over by my cleaner shrimp all the time so it no longer cares about things being on it or over it! :)

tagging along, awesome thread
Thanks mate :)

This piece has gone from pretty cool to potentially an absolute killer! Blue polyps with some amazing green skin :D

It's not often you see brown acro pics from those that are having colours from everything else but this piece has been poo brown for the last 3-4 months and now finally due to halides and a much better level of stability, it appears to be finally colouring back up again! :D I'm excited! It reminds me of the pearlberry acro's you guys can get with such ease!

I used to have a piece like that yellow acro with blue polyps. As it grew, the base became more cream colored with yellow coralites and blue polyps. Unfortunately I lost it when my old tank crashed and haven't been able to find it again. It was stunning though.

How much snow do you dose daily?

Nice. The new growth looks really nice on mr. poo!
Mr. Poo is loving life so much at the moment I'm getting noticeable changes on a daily basis now! It's awesome, so of the others are growing on a daily basis too! :D I think it's partly to do with me finally getting the magnesium back in check haha its been 1000-1100ppm for the last two months lol

It grows extremely fast too, just encrusting at the moment but once the base is firm I think we'll see some upward and outward growth! I love it!

I don't dose snow anymore, I was dosing 2ml ever second or third dat when I was dosing it but I'm dosing zeozym at the moment. A third of a teaspoon twice a week :) once after a water change and the other on a Thursday or a Friday :)

Thats a cool pic of the clam and hawk. And i like the blue polyp acros. I use coral snow when i feed AA or coral frenzy and zeozym just to help control algae.

Why did you switch from snow to zym?
Well coral snow works mainly just to clear floaty bits and make the water much more pristine looking and zeozym does the same thing but it also has an enzyme in it that improves skimmer function and is a little more potent than coral snow :) Also I ran out of coral snow and decided to give zeozym a go lol

Thanks mate :) I really love my hawkfish so I'm glad they've settled so well!
