I had some very real concerns about it but after thinking it through I went ahead and gave it a whirl lol no negative effects have been observed either, my maxima has stopped closing up after a dose too now so I think if anything were to go wrong it would have by now. I happy to report that a couple of areas of heavily infested bubble algae have now thinned out quite a bit, I'll get a pic of one when the lights come on shortly, it's really noticeableDom,
I meant to ask, did you have any concerns with alagefix running zeo system? Also, did your tank start from zeovit, or was it a conversion. Reason I ask, is that I had 2 tanks run zeovit, one from the start, and one conversion. I had a hell of a time with bubble, cyano, and hair algae, all while testing 0.00 on NO3 and PO4. I think it has to do with laden nutrients bound within the rock and sand. I could never break the algae, despite my corals glowing. I ultimately took the rock out and killed it with muriatic acid, bleach, then a RODI soak. Just curious mate, I hope you break the algae, be careful with any products other than the lineup, use with caution. Hope all is well![]()
Hopefully it is because I do not want it effecting my new lovelies! They're sooo nice lol thanks JoshNice looking additions! Hopefully that algae is for sure on its way out the door, you don't need it suffocating your new zoas!!
I think everyone is in the same boat over the suns, they're just so stunningly bright! lol and the red and yellow contrast s awesome! Thanks Mike, I'm hoping that it continues to improve as well!I'm not usually much of a zoa guy but for those flaming suns I would make an exception! Those are nice... Great now something else I gotta go look for. Glad the algae seems to be receding. Good luck with the rest of treatment.
I'm liking the results too, just wait till you see one of the bubble algae transformation picsI like the results so far on the algea fix..
I guess if I used it, I'd have to remove my cheato temporarily..
And like Mike, I love those red and orange zoas!! They are awesome.
Nice new additions!
I've been thinking about a seahare, the snails just bulldoze any corals I have before they get the chance to settle on and encrustI got some of them algae also seahare takes care if it for me. Working on the bubble algae. But your corals still looks great.
It seems to be one of two experiences people have with them lol they either love them or they do nothing.. haha. For the moment I'll just stick with my two bulldozer trochus and the misc mix of others as they seem to be doing some good work now the bulk of the mass has been dying offDom, personally, I've never seen a sea hare eat anything beside green hair algea.
That's why I asked for clarification above
We're getting there  I can see rock that I haven't seen in months lol my darling maxima's shell is almost completely clean again!!How's the algae battle going Dom ?
They're gorgeous aren't they! All the zoa's are getting their week in the tank dip for a little boost today so I'll try and get some more picsI love those Red zoa's you have there...! I hope all is well
I would say soSo the algea fix is slowly killing all types of algea in the tank?
Good to hear Algaefix is working for you. We need more pics!
Plenty of pics coming very soon! Uploading as we speak :bounce1:+1:beer:

I am using the FW version as there is no difference and it's what I could get lolfew questions on the algae fix
Are you using the Api algae fix marine ?
How much are u doing recommended or less?
Is it recommended to use within a few days in between?
I've been looking for info online can't seem to find much.
I've been dealing with some brown turf like alage and it's driving me bananas.
I've been doing weekly 30g wc using a wire brush and sea urchin and it's doing something but not a Great dent to it . I'm also like you hate to use chemicals but I'm honestly tapped out.
Thanks for the help
No emerlad crabs here in AusCan you get a hold of some Mithrax sculptus (Emerald crab). I here they eat bubble algae.
