50 Cube SPS Zeo Reef

Well I haven't posted anything in a little bit and that's because I've been working 5-7 days a week the last couple of weeks and in the kitchen in this heat it's been bloody exhausting! but I had some time today to get a good water change done, along with diagnose some bumps I've noticed. Over the last couple of days things have seemed off and two acro's have pooped themselves on my so I set out today to find out the issue and it turns out both my Mg and Ca were waaayyyy up that's caused this, so I've halved the dosing amount and the water change will have lowered it a little as well. Just to monitor closely over the coming week or two and everything will be back on track in no time!

Aside from a small hiccup everything is going along very nicely :) Happy growth, corals and inverts! I managed to score myself some amazing new zoa's again lol some nice big frags with some crazy awesome polyps! I'll let the pictures do the talking though ;) some pics are my old zoa's as well lol

It's very easy to see that the things I love, acro's and zoa's, I am a little addicted too haha now for the acro pics ;)

The acro fortress:

I do have some non-acro or zoa corals :P

Little clam:

And of course, what's an update without a FTS :)

tank is looking great!

after doing research on RC i found plenty of research on the algae fix.
thank you for your response, i've been doing weekly wc and using GFO.
and scrubbing and it seems to be working out.

you know Mr Biggels will have some thing to say about your zoos even though we all know he hangs out with a dude named Chongbong

Wow, nice collection of acro and zoos you've put together :celeb1:
Thanks man, I'm pretty happy with it :D

Wow, stunning Zoa collection! Acros are looking great too. Keep up the good work.
Cheers Sahin :) I have to say that I've spend ages working on collecting nice bits so I'm pretty stoked with the bits I have going!

Everything is looking extremely good, I'm jealous as usual.
Thanks Mark!

Well if you've got a routine that's working, definitely stick with it! And I know I'll be in trouble soon, just waiting for the chongbong himself to chime in :wildone: haha I'l be in trouble for that too haha

Very nice Dom
Cheers man :)

Dom, your boring collection of zoas is really nice!... Although boring.. But nice!

Acros! Niiiiiice!!! Really nice photography as well. Are you colour correcting at all? Your shots have a very natural, warm look.

Thanks, Dan, I added a sea hare to my frag system and so far he ain't eating no brown leafy algea!!

I've never spend so much time staring at zoas before buddy:eek1:
Awesome collection you have over there, welldone!

Glad to see things are so much better, regarding the algea:beer:

Andrew is going to be on your case for saying that...Be prepared for :fun2:

I bet Andrew has Zoa tank setup with LED's in his bedroom and he's not telling us about...

My conclusion is : his tank is a spoof ...all those are corals inserts why do you think he has "a splash of color" it's really a Zoa garden .

:lolspin::lolspin:
If that's true buddy he will surely cut me some slack for just admiring some zoas:p
If only we could get a pic of that "zoa led lighted tank"....the things we could say sahin:cool:

Just thought I'd point out for the record that after Dan mentioned he used a sea hare to eat brown leafy macro algea, I throw one in my frag tank..
Within a week, 90% of the macro algea was gone!
The sea hare seems to be feasting nicely on it..
