50 Cube SPS Zeo Reef

Check out the last acro pic i posted to see what your new lighting will produce........that's one of the pieces i bought that day we met up at Deer Park aquarium btw for $25- :smokin:

Just so you know for future reference mate, if we agree to meet at a LFS at a certain time it's pretty much guaranteed that i'll be there thirty mins earlier........
I'll go and have a look now! I'm sure it'll blow my mind :inlove: I vaguely remember the stash you already had marked out by the time I got there :spin2:

I guess I might just have to get there 45 early then :fun5: I think we'll have to have a catch up soon though, at deer park or williamstown or I might come out and pick your brains a little more when I come to get the radium to try! I seriously appreciate that though :spin1:

Not happy Jan.....my ATI powermodule sucks! Where can I get a Radium from to join your club?
Just joking.... Lol

haha it's a good club I hear, I'll have to start beating on LED users though :hammer: part of the rules of entering it lol

Well I've been in the lovely sunny and warm Bendigo for the last 10 days meaning that the tank hasn't had a water change in two weeks and zeo dosing has only been done once a day by those still at home lol I wasn't sure what to expect when I got home but I'm happy to report good news all around :spin3: With the exception of losing my true blue hornets :thumbdown:furious:

Today was a good maintenance day though, stones have been changed (a week and a half late), big water change and clean was done today, stuck some more acro's down (overflowed the skimmer during the process :headwalls:), did some water testing and general once over and tidy :)
Happy to report the parameters are looking pretty good!
Alk is spot on: 7.7dKH
Ca is low: 330ppm (dose adjusted)
Mg is waayy low, it emptied while I was gone: 1000ppm
Phos has really surprised me it was 0.17ppm two weeks ago and it was 0.063ppm when I tested before water change today and no algae has regrown so zeo must have done a good job of taking care of that while I was away :beachbum:

Who wants to read though... pics are coming :artist:

I think we'll run with Biggles fav's first, ZOA'S! :uhoh2:
My rasta's are going pretty well I'd say

I finally moved all these off the sandbed after the pics lol

Growing well

Bit of an everything top down lol

Now before I get booted from the SPS Keepers club :deadhorse1: the part you've all been waiting for
Acro city!

My two favourite pieces in the tank are what was a browned out acro Biggles made me buy, that has come a long way:

And my sunset/goldrush monti

Oh here we go again, more bloody zoa's.......

They're my instant feel good coral :spin2: :inlove:

I'm sad to report I didn't even find anything nice for myself! :thumbdown Dave approved of my Radium move though :beachbum: (as if he wasn't going to though!)

Very nice Zoas. You've got quite a collection going there. Bet they look great under Blue LED's. :D

Biggles, tell us about your secret Zoa stash. :uhoh3:

Yeah, they're my serious weak spot and I just have to get them all, so many colours :uhoh3:

He probably has a hidden flubber section in his sump that only get's light in the dark of night when no one is looking and he can watch without anyone ever knowing! :eek2:

Looking good Wrangy! For some reasons zoas seem to slowly melt away in my system.

Thanks mate :) It's come a long way in the last few months and in the last month or so I think there has been a little improvement in stability so the tank has taken another step up. Love it when that happens! :spin1:
Yeah, I know some people have as much trouble with them as others do with sps :fun5: I'm not sure what would cause it though, I've always had strong growth from my zoa's but of recent it seems that occasionally I have some that aren't doing as well :( I lost a very expensive frag of blue hornets recently :headwallblue:

Tank was looking pretty cool tonight after just dosing ZeoZym :)

Really loving how far the tank has come since the start of the year and from before it was restarted :)
