A. robusta is one of my favourites when it keeps it's colour! I'm hoping to get a little more colour once the t5/mh lights go up :celeb3:

Something I have been waiting a very long time to do has finally occurred. It's a sad day to be saying goodbye to my LED's but out of the sadness a glorious, glorious new sps growing beast emerges! 250w of MH power and 100w of t5 supplement brings a new era to my tank
I guess one would now be able to say that this is the last ever shot of my tank you will see as just pure LED
The mighty beast triumphs over the previous leader, as the loser is cast aside :blown: :uhoh3:
Out of that battle though emerges this new glorious leader! :celeb2::eek2:

That robusta looks cool mate, good job with that acro because most people struggle to hold good purple pigments on the green/purple variety from what i've seen. :thumbsup:
Woohoo, you're a Radium guy now :celeb1: Watch your acros across the high top rock work for any signs of light stress buddy. Remember you are suddenly supplying a very different spectrum and also hitting many corals with light in places that were previously shaded due to the LED's. You might be supplying similar PAR but where that now reaches is very different to the limitations of the LED's.

I've been pretty happy with how it's held up
especially knowing the grief it gives some people :hammer:Not quite a Radium guy yet but definitely finally a metal halide guy! I've definitely got my eye out for any signs of over saturation or general unhappiness. I have been shown the limitations of led's though :eek1: quite a few light spots and such, I should be able to start turning that around over the next few weeks though!
If I can manage half of what you can achieve I'll be happy, for now
I'm aiming for double digit birthday's for a lot of my friends :xlbirthday:

Awesome, the fans are AMAZING but they make a shitload of noise haha :uhoh3:
I think it's due to the grill so I'm going to swap/remove that and see what happens. Mind you my unit is also second hand as well so I don't know what the new ones will sound like. The reflectors on the unit are really really well done and make it hard for me to tell how many t5 bulbs I actually have due to how reflective they are lol

haha she's a stunner isn't she! I'll be intrigued to see what happens with colours and growth over the next 4 weeks!
Thanks mate, I'm already loving the look of the new lights and so are all the coral! They're killing it already lol PE is noticeably better too.
I'm sure it'll be an easy fix, I just need to have a look at it
