500G (84X48X30)- NOW REAL !

Sanjay,
Everything is doing great so far. I have another 30 pieces coming Mon. I am trying to get the ones they missed last time too. They do not label them so I may need some help with the ids. Putting my Corals of the World books to good use:)

Now this green leather was the most impressive green I have ever seen in the leather corals. Just neon green !!! I was amazed at how much this coral is all over Denver. I had to get it.. so I could spread it out in Central PA.

Would you be kind enough to let me know someone that sell a frag of this green polups toadstool/leather? or perhaps you have a frag or two that you are selling?

please let me know. I live in Boston and yes i am a proud member of a BRS club :D

Many thanks.

I am actually bringing some of them to the PA swap on the 24th. Pm me and I'll see what I can hook you up with. Sanjay got his from me.

Those acros look awesome! Hey Sanjay, looks like I need to make another trip up there to snag more frags. I can't wait to get my green polyped leather! You really need to see them in person to appreciate them.

Hey Steve, do you know the scientific name of this guy?
Thanks!:)
BTW, when you give away frags in the April meeting are you going to let people have any frags of those colonies.

Hi Kyle,
I think it is A. digitifera or A. polystoma. Still trying to figure it out. I get to pick the scientific name I want but they dont label them so trying to id 30+ colonies gets a little tedius.
As far as fragging these colonies....no. They are too young yet. They need to grow a bit. I will be giving frags from the other colonies in my tank.

Amazing tank Sanjay! I've spent many days at work "working" while reading your thread. I love the rock formations. I think I'm going to do something similar in the 280 I'm setting up. I look forward to meeting you at the URS event.

Well, back from a nice 5 day trip to FL , managed to miss the 8 inches of snow at home and get back home on my scheduled flight !!

Tank survived my absence, and my black leopard wrasses are doing fine. Just fed the tank and they are chomping down the mysis.

Sanjay,
I had a good time this past Saturday running around, we will have to do it again maybe this time with Tony, do you think we should leave him out of the group or let him back into the group? Tony don't pick on me if you read this, just kidding!

Glad to hear you guys made it back on time.

Talk to you soon.
Jack

Good detecive work, Shawn :D

I go to Miami since my wife's family lives there. I usually end up spending at least a day visiting a bunch of reef stores and tanks.

This time around, Jack took me around to a few places around Miramar, Ft. Lauderdale area.

Went to visit Raphael and his Coral Nursery http://www.thecoralnursery.com/newsite/

Then got to see Jack's 180G tank... full of some really nice corals. A really nice setup too.

Then it was off to one of my favorite stores The Reef Edge in Davie. This is where I got some of my fish in Jan. I always go there whenever I visit miami.

From there it was off to see a new place CoralReefFarm in Hollywood. A new store with nice corals and fish and lots of room to grow. http://www.coralreeffarm.com/

A great day of hanging out with fish nerds and coral geeks :D

I was at reef's edge in davie in January, Man I loved that place It was probably the best store I have ever been to.
Tons of fish and Corals, she sends me emails all the time about new shipments and I wish I could go!!
Oh well, say did you end up going to Premier in Denver when you were here? I think they have a pretty good thing going especially with Jake there.

Looks great Sanjay. I'm going to have to try the rods with my rock, I really like the look you got there. Also you are right with the sand being ok with the flow.
