Hey Crhis.. good to hear from you. I think I have all the pics from you. We downloaded them from your camera before you left. That was almost 14 months ago.. things have grown a lot since then.

Some of those zoas you got me are doing quite well.

You should come with Copps et al, for the NCPARS frag swap on April 12th.

Very Nice Sanjay. Thanks again for coming and speaking at MARS. Is the clarion in the other tank?

Yes, the clarion right now is my 55G soft coral reef in my work/study room. This way I get to see it more. So far its left all the soft corals in the tank alone as well as the few lps (frogspawn and hammer) alone. Has become quite the boss of the tank even at its small size - fearless and bold.

Hey hows the clarion going is that the one from DD anyhow either way that would have cost a fortune. Good luck with it, its diffentaly a beauty.

Sanjay,
It looks great! What do you attribute to the tanks success? Impressive growth. I can't believe its only 14 months.

INSANE!!!

What parameters are you running at now Sanjay?

James

Pretty much the same as its been running for a long time. I try to keep within the following ranges

Kh: 8-12 dkH
Ca: 350-420
MG: 1200-1350

only if they get out whack do I bother to adjust for anything. Most of the time (several months at a stretch) the Ca reactor will keep up with it.

I would like to see some equipment shots... like how is that skimmer working out?

The equipment shots of what is on the tank would not be very exciting. I have the bare minimum of equipment on it

- A calcium reator
- 2 filter chambers with Phosphate remover and carbon in each
- My old downdraft skimmer from my 180G tank - Down draft retrofitted with the beckett

I never got around to putting the new skimmer in... it will just have to wait until the end of the semester when I have more time. I still need to figure out the best way to attach the bubble king pump.. I am not a fan of using hoses.. and the BK pump has non standard outlet dimensions.

I have always been a fan of the minimalist and simple approach to reefkeeping and this tank is my continuing experiment towards that goal.
