awesome growth, and some said you didn't have enough lighting for such a big tank.
can you tell us your feeding schedule, frequency, amount, type, etc? do you target feed?
Carl
I usually don't target feed anything, but occasionally I will squirt food that I feed the fish at some of the LPS like Duncans, fungia and lobophyllia. I find that if I do this regularly then the fish know there is food there and start to unnecessarily bother the LPS.
I feed at least 2X in the evening. After I get home from work, and then later at night around 11:00 PM or so. My lights are on from about 2:00 to midnight.
Food for the fish is quite varied and includes - Pacifica Mysis from Jhemco, Cyclopeeze, Artic Pods, Spectrum pellets.. and more recently live blackworms. I feed my fish a lot and vary the food so its not the same everyday. Occassionally I will make my own fish food, but lately I have not been doing so. I have 40+ fish, mostly small fish with high metabolisms so I have to feed a lot. I am also trying to get the fish to be in breeding condition so I can see some of them spawning. Lately the Dispar's are spawning and the Bellus may be too. Hopefully some day the joculators will too.
Once in a while (may be 1-2 times per week) I will throw in some of Reef Nutrition Rotifeast, DT's oyster eggs, and other small particulate food that I may have laying around.
I have been cranking up the frequency to 3 times in the evening, over the last few weeks since I want the fish to get into "spawning mode". Hence the addition of live blackworms to the fish diet. Don't know if its coincidence or not, but in the last 5 days I have had 2 pairs of clownfish spawn... have been waiting for these to spawn for a long time (had these fish for over 3 years).
