I just got a new system of holding/grow out tanks and may be replacing this system very soon

If anyone is interested in it please let me know. I was powering it with a single little giant but have since plumbed it to my return pump (hammerhead) I may be interested in selling it but havent decided for sure yet.

Moved over some more corals and another fish today.... Now have 3 small groups of zoo's and a coral that I dont know what it is. (got it from bcollins not the chalis the other one)

All parameters still stable. All corals fully opened. All fish still eating and doing well (bubble eye still bubbly)

Ok I want to put some tangs in tomorrow. Or at least 1.... I am still undecided as to what kind I want...

I definatly know that Yellow tangs will never ever ever ever go into this tank (i have 2 in the 125 and they are mean)

I want to be able to have shrimp. I don't want these to be bully's. And I want them to look awesome.

So suggestions please....

I think I would like to have

Purple tang
Chevron Tang
Powder blue tang

Black tangs (when they are around again)

what's mean whats nice?

thanks for that info.. never had any tangs other that yellow and scopis... so not really that knowledgable on them. I am thinking of starting with a chevron.

Congrats uztaryn, I can already tell how beautiful this system is going to be. I hope to have one like it myself when I grow older and start my own family and what have you. Good luck@

Well I have decided to go Achillies tang, then Blonde Naso, then add a black tang and chevron together.

Today I added 40 Nassarius, 30 astria, 12 more mexican turbos, 2 fighting conch's, 4 pepermint shrimp, 3 emerald crabs and a partridge in a pear tree to my cleanup crew.

More to come next week....

Your tank is amazing,I would love to have one that size one day. You will not regret the black tang, I have one in my 150 and I love him.

Thanks... .I am trying to correct the white balance and get some updated pictures of the tank. I have some corals in now as well as about 16 fish.

8 Anthias
4 Chromis
2 4 wheel drive gobies
2 watchman gobies

Next week I will be adding my first larger fish. It will be the Achilies Tang.

Set the white balance to shade and give it a try. A photographer friend of mine suggested this as opposed to me doing it manually and it worked out just fine.

I will give that a try... I don't really know how to do it on my camera... I am tempted to go and buy a new one that does macro shots just for this and diving.

The partridge is a great addition, lol.

That skimmer looks awesome. I'm starting to design a house with a fish room. Everyone I talk to says theirs is too small. 12 by 12 seems like it should hold everything. Any complaints?

No complaints at all... I actually have some storage still in the room behind my SeaClear system.

I am having my basement finished this month... when completed the fish room will be separate from the finished part and the storage will come out.

I have been talking to GEO about building me a large Acrylic structure for frags and such. If he has time and the price is right it will go where the storage is.

I should then have about 200g more online and the room will be pretty much full.

For my tank size or smaller I cannot see needed more room than the 12x12 I am using.

Here are some updated pictures... I tried to correct the white some with Paint shop pro....

Figured these were better than nothing.
