Well the tank was supposed to be at my house on Friday but didn't show. Still waiting on the tank. I should have my EuroReef 8-2 today!!!

I am going to get most of my plumbing today along with the baffles for my new sump.

Probably a week or so.

I will start a new thread as a log of events on the new tank. Once the tank gets here, I will sit down and figure out exactly where I am going to drill it. Then, once it's drilled, I will plumb the main return, then the closed loop. Then I will fill it with water to test, then drain, then fill again with RODI and add my new Ocean Pure salt.

I wish the damn thing was already running, I am ready to get some fish and corals but I need to remain patient. I have been pretty fortunate lately with taking my time. I got a good deal on a kick butt skimmer by waiting, I got a Dart which will save on electricity by waiting a few weeks and using this thread to help me with my final decision and I waited a few weeks and saved up some money to get a 4 way OM when it wasn't in my original plan.

How about going with Tunzes instead of a closed loop? Less power draw, a lot more adjustable/scaleable, and no drilling required. They seem like the cost more in the beginning but when you total in the cost of the pump, plumbing, wave device (i.e. sea swirl, ocean motion, etc...), and power draw they end up being cheaper in the long run.
