540 in wall from Sunrise FL......

promises to be good :)

yes it does TKS......and I forgot to mention that this build will include tons of DIY and acrylic projects I enjoy doing myself ....anything I can do myself or dream up how to fabricate I usually do...

next I built a custom coast to coast overflow that has a combined 6 inches of pipe room drains for maximum volume movement while only taking up 2in of width in the tank and running 86 of the 96in in length....its kind of like 4 independent glass holes style overflows fit into a 86in coast to coast ....I contemplated running this into an external box and running a bean animal out of it but opted for a more clean look with redundancy coming from separate overflows and still utilizing an almost full siphon as the pipes are fully submerged in the overflow and in the sump...they take just a moment to purge and then its full flow...now its not quite as silent as the bean which is running on my current setup but this is in the garage and all you hear is the running water its dead silent in the house ...I still may change it to that later on but this is fine for now...I left myself options for future changes if I choose

first the tank was drilled for 4 1 1/2 drains ....then fitted with the panel that would be the back to the overflow so it fit perfectly ....then I built on the sides and front....the 4 1 1/2 bulkheads hold it in place like a nut and bolt application while allowing 6in of full siphon water to exit...each one is independent of the other until they come together before the sump into 4in of pipe which should give me every bit of flow I need....

water change pump in place and also connected to the RO storage unit ....I still need to put a T in the in line so that when you turn a set of valves one way and it will pump water out of the DT ....turn them the other way and it will pump water in from a 250gal storage unit...will do that next weekend...

<a href="http://s17.photobucket.com/albums/b70/mrx66699/540%20Build/?action=view&current=IMAG1195.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b70/mrx66699/540%20Build/IMAG1195.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

how about a skimmer waste collection chamber, this was made from the materials I cut out of the euro brace from the sump......

<a href="http://s17.photobucket.com/albums/b70/mrx66699/540%20Build/?action=view&current=IMAG1047.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b70/mrx66699/540%20Build/IMAG1047.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

after it was welded up I routed the edges clean....

in place....I will also put a shut off valve in it to fail safe it connected to my controller

Nice build pics!!
I'd like to start playing with a few diy acrylic projects, keep the pics coming so I can see how its all done!!

Old RODI setup ....dual membranes w/booster pump produces 100gal quickly and very efficiently.....

<a href="http://s17.photobucket.com/albums/b70/mrx66699/540%20Build/?action=view&current=IMAG0946.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b70/mrx66699/540%20Build/IMAG0946.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

and not that I needed any RODI equipment but I won this one at one of our FMAS raffles (from Air Water and Ice) and will be using it incorporated with some of the existing equipment

some reactors....I took a monster reactor from NextReef and taped and threaded the connections so I could run the input and output through one line each with quick connect fittings so I could dismantle it for cleaning or changing the media quickly and efficiently also installed 1/2 valves to adjust either side independently ...

<a href="http://s17.photobucket.com/albums/b70/mrx66699/540%20Build/?action=view&current=IMAG0422.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b70/mrx66699/540%20Build/IMAG0422.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

tank in place and in this pic I had started sanding the back in order to prep it for painting black....in this pic you can also see the electrical wiring in place in the ceiling, three independent outlets for the lighting....
