Aquascape

Amazing skills on our squascaping. Tell how you stacked them up. I'd like to get some ideas myself

FlowerhornNYC, rudy1977, rkaires, WWodyz, drew567 Thank you for the comments, the scape above is the one done for yitman by the same company doing mine. Great taste and amazing support!

ironwill723, I will PM the website of the company based in Germany!

great job on the rock work i just think it would look better with a thin layer of sand imo... it would look more natural and i think fish would like it even better.but awesome tank none the less.i guess more and more people are choosing bare bottoms these days

Lebreef,

The tank is amazing. The pics of the other guys tank are very nice.

Are you going to use sand for your tank?

How long will it take to get your aquascape from Germany?

The possibilities you have for your tank are endless. I am very jealous....

I don't know if we could have a tank that size here in California. Earthquakes. Maybe.

I am very currious to see your overflow and your external bracing for the back. I am a subscriber to your thread!

Good luck!

Although above scape is not mine, I will be going with bare bottom to start. If I find it too much of an eyesore, I will add a thin layer of coarse gravel. Flow is in principle too high in this tank and I am trying to keep detritus at minimum.

Thx for the compliments! as I mentioned in my previous post, target is bare bottom.

I have not finalized the design yet, once more or less done, I would post some photos for some feedback. As to getting them from Germany, it should not be a long time. I just received a table from Italy and it took only 1 week in sea-freight.

The depth of the tank is something I have dreamt of for a long long time, I just love deep tanks. So much potential that I hope to fulfill some part of.

Part of the external brace has already been "siliconed" (is that a word??) and tomorrow the bottom of the overflow should be done. I will post some photos of it. Overflow will have 4 x 1" dursos with an additional emergency drain at 1.5".

thx for subscribing!

very nice tank and awesome rock work any updates?

deathy17, thx for the complements but these should go to yitman (his scape!).
As far as updates, nothing much. I received the Maxspect LEDs and RR wavemakers. One of the controllers of the LEDs was not working and turning all the LEDs on without the fans, could not turn on or off any of the arrays. So I contacted the supplier and they said they would be ready to send a new one. Given the headaches with importing the controllers, my brother, gave it a shot and managed to fix it. Now the only problem is that the blue lights are not working. My last resort would be to get a new controller, and will keep you guys posted on what happens.

Ok, back bracing done!

and one in the middle joining side braces with back panel and supporting the overflow box

overflow is starting to take shape, this is the bottom panel of it that will also serve as a brace to overcome the bowing of the back panel.

more in a week when these are dry!

Wall unit is scheduled for Friday. It should take all day long, and maybe a little more. I will take some photos and post them once done. I hope all will run smoothly on that front and measurements are done correctly.

Worked on the wall unit all day yesterday, a 12 hours marathon. We have ben planning and waiting for it for the past 6 months! Finally all the wait was worth it and I (we actually) are more than satisfied.

Hope you guys like it!

RyanAlan, thx for the comment, actually the ceiling height makes a whole lot of difference, and when designing the wall unit we had this in mind, I am glad you like it!

TRENT_G, ebojo, thank you guys!

Nice build, excellent tank dimensions! Im def jealous of your ceiling height. I like how that whole panel lifts up to give u access to the tank, the easier u ca get into the tank the better
