5500k

Am I the only one using 5500k hallides in my display?Are these bulbs good for groth?

It's an aesthetic thing. There's nothing per se "wrong" with 5500k bulbs if you don't mind the look.

5500k will give you the fastest growth

Just because it is a 5500K bulb does't not mean it will be brighter than a 6500K or 10000K bulb. Lower K doesn't always mean it is more light, it just might be more green.

I tried 5500k bulbs at one time and they were way too yellow for my taste even with actinics

Does it matter if they are 5500k plus hamitons?Does the plus mean anything?

They would probably be fine for growth. But butt ugly for color.

Probably the 6500K.

I really don't undertand why you would try a 5500K bulb for better growth, it won't be any better than using an XM10K and it most times will result in less coloration than the 10K.
