Or from the Green Bali Slimer

They are both just beautiful corals to me

Enjoy!

The blue tort has its polyps extended, which is a good sign. They are super slow growers in my experience.

That one piece of birdsnest has some hair algae near it. Pluck that off before it kills your frag (chokes it out).

Nice update.

Thanks Marc, oh, and it was nice to finally meet you in person!

The gha that was in that first birdsnest shot has long since been plucked out of the tank. It started strangling it, but it recovered nicely and is growing well.

I noticed the polyps out on the tort and on the slimer. I've only had them for a month, i'm happy they are still alive and well. I heard a rumor about you having "issues" with torts in the past, so i was really weary, but it has been working out.

Yeah, they don't call me the Tort Slayer for nothing.

I have a couple of small pieces that have been with me for over a year, so there's hope that I'll get some growth out of them some day. At least they are alive.

aww, see i refrained from using the hrm... :D.

I'm going to get to test your RO/DI unit out this coming week. The company i work for has asked me to help with the tank (almost unlimited budget :smokin: ) and get it looking good. So i may start a thread about where it's at and what i'm going to do with it and where it's at. They don't know why it's dying and the person that was doing the maintanence said that "anemone and corals can't live together" so every time they put the nems into the tank they died... turns out the nitrates is well over 160ppm. IDK how anything's alive, but everything is slowly dying.

Ok, updates!

After much research, and help from Conger, I took the moon lights off the tank and am using them for my prop section. It has 5 LED's set up and i've decreased the amount of resistor power. Looks good, but it's only been up for a day, We'll see how it does.

Got a new fish... after the PinkFace Wrasse was gone of course

I'm not really a Goby kinda guy, but I love this little guy. Don't have a name for him yet, but here it is

Hope this guy lives. He came out of a tank that had a pinkface wrasse eating it... Lets hope eh?

There is always hope. I never give up on a frag, as even a few tiny bits can still grow under good conditions.

Thanks Marc. It's still disheartening though. Lets hope for the best. (at least i didn't pay for it) still don't want it to die though.

If it isn't in too much flow, it should be able to open up. If you can feed it a little tiny bit (assuming the mouth is still present), that will help as well. The other dead heads can be cut off, as the skeleton is quite brittle and easy to cut through.

Another new avatar? Wow...

It lookes like there's nothing left of the polyps. I'll try to take another pic later today(if i have the chance). I'm going to leave it in the tank just in case... about all i can do right?
