I have an Oceanic 58 gallon and my Reef Octopus 110 took a dump. I need a new skimmer. My sump is a 29 gallon and has 10 inches of water. 73 total gallons. I need a Skimmer that will fit in a 10 x 11 area. I might have a half inch wiggle room.

I was looking at:
PSK 100
SWC 120 & 160
BM NAC 7

Which skimmer would you recommend? Does not have to be from this list. Thanks.

Definetely the SWC 120. I have one and it's the perfect skimmer...runs near silently, pulls very well, easy to maintain, and runs trouble free.

I disagree, the SWC-120 skimmer is plenty big for that size tank. Have one on a similar size tank plus a 20 gal sump and it has extra capacity I'm not using.

the 120 is too small. the atman 1100 will not moveenough water. the 160 and nac 6 or 7 use the same pump and are similar in performance.

Saltwatercoral2...... SWC ? lol

If you're not apt to spending a fortune look at the sc150 thread going on. Its an 11 page thread about this skimmer and how much people love it. Lots of ppl like it, its a similar cone size to the swc 160 and it uses the same atmann 2500 needle wheel pump.

Basically a very similar skimmer, a knock off of the swc160.

The best part is it only costs average 100$. Its for sale on ebay, type "saltwater protein skimmer" and it will be the top listing, listed at 129$

Really?

Here is my PSK-100 on my 80g, when first started and a pic taken just now. It works FLAWLESSLY.

skimz sm 121. warner marine will have a similar version (coming out soon hopefully) pulling more air. The skimz SM amd warner MF both have super small footprints (pumps under the body) with low energy draw as well.

Aquacave has the skimz at <300

Bubblemagus cs 180. Has the better pump and i believe a better impeller then the mesh wheels that the nac series use.
