We went out there today and checked the tank. The tank is down about 3 gals but salinity is at 1.021, so the raise in the salinity wouldn't be bad for the tank.
JBarone tested the tank and all looked well except the nitrates were off the charts. The test maxed at 160 and it was well past that and i would believe well past 200. I'm thinking a water change with ro/di would be the best for the tank. The problem is we have to truck ro down there since they have no ro unit hooked up. If any one is able to bring 10 gals down on the 28th when we go let us know.
The puffer didn't look to good and Its fins were all thrashed. His eyes were cloudy. The sailfin has bites out of its dorsal fin. I think the lack of hiding spots for the large fish is one of the problems. We need live rock in the tank but they cant afford any so donations are welcome
Also more flow would be great so the people who had powerheads if you still have them let us know. We have to get on rounding up donation equiptment so if you have any and are going to nooks party bring it there if your not going pm me and we will work out arrangements.
Last but not least we need a final list of volunteers so we can turn in paperwork pm ram and let him know where we can mail forms to.
