60 gallon cube coast to coast with bean animal

I love the diy aspect of reef keeping but am I going overkill here? I'm getting a 60 gallon rimless cube and looking for overflow ideas. I can't afford a shadow box overflow so I'm thinking about building a glass coast to coast overflow and using a bean animal overflow in it. Ideas?

I also have a 40 gallon sump sitting under it. Would a 1" drain and return turn the tank over enough? What size return pump should I get? I'm new to the sump idea. I've always had AIO tanks

1" return pipe and using all 1" fittings in the bean setup is just fine for a 60G tank..
In general you want a return pump rated at 200-300GPH after head height/restriction losses (<--knowing head height is fairly important..)

Once I get plumbing laid out I'll use an online calculator to figure out restrictions.

Had to get creative with the stand since I wanted to use my 40b as a sump.
