I will. Thanks!

Nope. Miztic was over tonight and we have a glueing party. Still not done with the main loop though. Probably wont have a chance to work on it till next week, my weekend is pretty full up. After the main loop is totally plumbed I'll take some shots and then start on the secondary loops.

Also Miztic helped me muscle the last 2 tanks in. So I now have 2 40 breeders and a 65 ready to be drilled.

Hope you didn't get too happy smelling all that glue :D

There was a death at work so I haven't had time for the tank. I should start work again on it tonight. No mater what gets done I'll take some shots tomorrow. Be warned though, its a freakn mess :P

Truly an amazing build!! Can't wait to see the most recent pics! I had similar issues with bulkheads while plumbing my 240. Any torque at all will cause a tiny leak. Alignment and eliminating torque were key. I used silicon in a few places as a remedy, but also found that putting gaskets on both sides of the bulkhead worked well. Ace Hardware sells kits to make your own gaskets, and I found these very handy.

The main loop is plumbed, although I have not put any TFE paste on the threads in various places yet. I'm going to drill 2 tanks this weekend and I'll start plumbing the secondary loops then. I might be able to get some odds and ends plumbed before then.

I'll take some pictures tonight. It doesn't look that impressive yet and its definitely really messy :)

Btw I got a big box in with lots of Mag-drives in various sizes. Lets see.. 2 18's, 2 9.5's and 1 5. Also got a box in with 2 over the back gang on filters with sponges. and lots of extra sponges. These will be used to seed quarantine tanks. Another box has handfulls of bulkheads and other plastic goodies from Savko.

I just ordered a Spectrapure UHE MaxCap system also.

I'd be very careful about the teflon paste. I used it on some plumbing during a recent bathroom remodel and after a week the screens inside the faucets were coated with the stuff and it's a pain to clean off. It does a fantastic job of sealing threaded connections though. If you are careful then teflon tape alone should be okay.

The problem with the tape is I've heard horror stories of it cracking the housing on Reeflo products. The last think I want to do is crack the dart. I'm just going to put on a small amount and call it a day and see if it works.

it happen to me before:mad2: so what I do now is glue it:lol: all I have to do is add a union on front of the pump in case you have to take it out.

How much for admission????? I now know where im vacationing next year :bum: You already have tank of the month and there is no water in it :eek2: Outstanding job  And one hell of a man cave

i just set up my dart.....and i used that paste stuff....be careful as stated if you put too much you will be using a net to get it out of the tank....and the size or your tank would be a pain to get it out of.....and it sticks to the glass....just wipes off though. it did sure keep mine water tight though. good call with the unions too, i love them now!!

Dont know if this has been addressed before, but how much do you think this will cost electricity wise per month to run? I was always curious how much power these large setups need.
