The Genesis has not missed a beat. I like it.I use the Storm also.I do not use all the float valves, but the ease of full automation is still worth the price

Great build, Ricardo. I'm in the process of planning my 600 gal upgrade (from a 300 gal) and will be shamelessly stealing some of your ideas, especially the fish room design and cabinetry.
What return pumps are you using to get the desired 3000 gph?

I use a Dolphin Marine Amp Master pump.I started with the 4400 but lost too much pressure so I switched to their 6250 and show 2500 GPH at the aquarium outlet.Quite frankly I do not know why I am loosing so much pressure.The "head loss" math should have me pushing 4000!HOWEVER, 2600 results in a good enough "flow through".

I can imagine that the return loop you have with the multiple outlets can be tough to model accurately to get the actual pressure drop. I used to have a very similar return setup as your in a previous tank and I found that the flow became severely restricted, the more complex the return system was. I ultimately simplified it and got a lot more flow.
The tank is coming along nicely! I have a similar setup with sps at the top and lps at the bottom. I really like the combination of movement the lps corals give, with the colors and structures of the sps corals.

I tried to keep my return plumbing as direct and simple as possible so that I would have a chance to accurately predict the flow loss. The only thing I can think of to explain the large loss of pressure,for such a small run is my pump's 1 1/2" outlet being reduced to 1" at the top of my DT....but still I remain disappointed.I have 2 flow meters showing the same numbers.I am looking forward to Apex's flow meter coming out.BTW, I am pushing around 30X turn-over .

The tank looks awesome. The arches will create caves for the fish.
How much consideration did you have on competing coral? The frags are close together and I have experience with competing coral.

Also, are they glued? And, did you take into consideration shading after SPS grows. You'll get massive growth with your setup.

My plan is to let them compete (and intertwine). I have had some fighting, but I just watch carefully and then move things around accordingly.The smaller pieces are glued because of my high flow, but the larger colonies are on heavy bases, so they stay upright on their own.Do you think I will have to glue the large colonies eventually??
I purposely aquascaped my shelves tiered, so there will be shading eventually, but minimal.
..MAY THE STRONGEST SURVIVE!!...hey, maybe this could be turned into a reality show....as long as it runs for 3 years.

I'm anxious to see if those 8 radions are enough light for those Sps. There is a guy near me that just built a 60x36x26 tank, and he is running 8 radions.
I would think 10 would be minimum for a tank your size. (12 would probably be best) Ecotechs recommendations always seem much less then what's actually needed. I was running 5 radions on my 96x30x21, and before I decided to switch the T5s, I was considering adding 2 more radions. Your tank is much wider and deeper then my tank. I hope 8 works out for you, I just thought I would pass on my experience.

-I was (am) thinking about adding 2 more down each side for a total of 4 more..but my 3/4" glass side Eurobrace is 8" wide, so the additional lights on the sides would almost be completely over glass.
-I did mount my lights very high for better spread (12" over the water).
-I am at 55% power at noon when my par reading at the top is 300 (200 at the bottom)
-In another month or so I plan on kicking up the peak power to achieve 450 at the top.
