Wow! great tank! It looks absolutely beautiful. I would support the canopy from the ceiling. I think 200+ pounds on top of the tank is too much for long term. How thick is the acrylic?

Lunch-
I am in college. I go to the University of Texas.
Charles-
The acrylic is 3/4" Last night i installed eye hooks on top of the canopy and attached them to the eye hooks in the ceiling that the light rack is hanging from. The canopy now sits 1/8" of the acrylic. Now i can sleep better at night...
When I was in college there was no way I would have the funds for something like that. Hell, I'm in the corporate world now and I still couldn't afford something like that w/out driving some junky car to offset the cost
I've been getting the equipment together with my roomated over the past 3 years. We both had reefs before this one. The deltec equipment has all been purchased since the tank was set up though. Couldn't be more happy with my purchases. The AP1003 Skimmer will be here tomorrow.
I wanted to complete the family. Judging from the reviews and my experiences with other deltec products i made the right choice- even if it did cost a small fortune. I looked at other skimmers but Doug's excellent customer service keeps me loyal to deltec.
