600 Gallon Upgrade Build

look at it this way, this is better than the sump leaking and having to replace that right?

You are so right Steve.

OK good news... No more puddles that is always good!!

Always good Osama

Oh darn! There goes another of life's little mysteries. ;)

Dave.M

Dave, you are surely the reef comedian. What would this forum be without your knowledge and comedic skills.:beer::beer:

really glad you found the source and that liner worked!!!! its the first thing on my list of things to buy when I start to build my stand!

Come on... crawl under the barb wire and get in there.

Even take a cameraphone and record under the edge or somewhere you can not see with your eye.

OOPS... There was another page. Sorry... LOL

Well better late than never.

ALSO...

Happy Birthday Little Leroy.

Are you worried about using hose clamps like that? I had a used them on the return on my 125. They said SS but apparently not all of it was SS. long story short it rusted and failed. I had a sprinkler for a bit. lol

Yep you missed that. But I reglued the other fittings and let them sit overnight and I hooked up everything this morning and so far for the past 3 hours not a drop.

I believe they will be fine considering they are not exposed to salt creep or water unless I experience what I did in the past 24 hours. I'll prolly end up redoing that intake. I was being lazy and in a rush when I connected everything together.

Im looking forward to how you do it. I want to run my return pump right from the side of my sump, obviously I would need some kind of vibration mount as well as a flexible joint where it connects to the side of the glass tank.

Usually internal pumps have suction cups on the bottom to prevent vibration. You could use the barb fitting provided by the pump and use rubber hoses to your returns or PVC flex tubing.

No Leaks
