600 Gallon Upgrade Build

Slief did a really nice job with his bridge. Hint Hint - we should make one similar to it for your tank!

I went through heaven and hell to find that piece of rock! It took me over a month to find a suitable piece due to the size I needed in order for it to span that gap.. After going to countless rock quarries and other places, we found that at Catalina Water company after digging through these huge 12'-15' long by 8' wide bins filled 3' deep with live rock. I dug and dug and dug until I found that. That piece is well over 3' long and is still in that same place today.

Catalina water company had purchased a barge full of live rock from Indonesia or something and in route back to the states, the generators died. The end result was a bunch of "not so live rock".. It was a disaster for them but I found a diamond in the rough and got it cheap.

Over ten yeas later (since that photo was taken) that aquascape remains nearly unchanged short of new corals and some additional live rock.

Here is a recent shot of the same bridge from the same side and then from the opposite side. These were taken during sunset lighting which didn't produce great shots. Things have definately changed a bit since that photo. Unfortunately, I never had any luck with gorgonia.

That is not an easy task. I think if cables are shown then organization is the key.

Yeah that cable management is a pita. I think I developed a twitch from doing it yesterday LOL :twitch: I'm almost there though.

Get a piece of plywood and just go for it. Then get a lot of wire duct. I bought a box of wire duct pretty inexpensively from cableorganizer.com. Found they had the best pricing. A lot of places have short lengths and they're expensive. Well it's either that or get drummersreef down there to do it for you ;) His engine room looks pretty sleek. LOL
