6000 to much for 55 gallon?

I have read so much about how good this pump with the individual controler is, I was just wondering if it would be too much for my set up (55 gallon 60 lbs of LR and 3 inch sand bottom). Should I wait for the nano products instead?

I think it is too much. The nano Streams would likely be much better. 55s are so narrow that it is difficult to get a good flow pattern. The 7400/2 would also do a very good job, possibly better even than the nanostream 6055 which is what I would recommend if you wait, they should be out in December.

Roger, how about a 36x24x24 90 gallon? Will the 6000 be too much?
