600g FOWLR

Lol, yes but with all the other pumps, skimmers running on this tank, I don't notice it. The fish absolutely love swimming in front of it. I plan on adding two more.

Oh yes, performance is great and my fish/corals love it. I didn't notice it on my 210 with the halide fans running - created a nice white noise for it to blend into. Switched to LEDs with the 520 and they run dead silent. How are your LEDs btw?

LED's are still in the box, hanging tonight hopefully. I know I'll like them. The fan is quite and only turns on at 20 percent power.

Every fish eats pellets except the collare. The Naso and large Idol especially love them.

Sweet tank!!

I might of missed it if it was posted earlier, but what are you running for a return pump? Guesstamate on you turn over?

Still a little ways off, but we will be building a large tank soon so trying gathering knowledge.

Taggin along.

For return pumps I'm running a mag 12 and a mag 9.5. About 1600gph total turnover rate. I feel circulation pumps are more important than return pumps, in that it's pointless to yave more go through the sump than the skimmer can handle.

Ah... Good point. I will have to pump about 15' of head pressure, so maybe less return more circulation be in order and cheaper on the pumps.

Thanks

oh... lookin at you fish list, those Chromis's school?

You'll need a large external direct drive pump for that amount of HP.

I used to have 7 chromis, they used to school. Even in a tank this size they pick each other off. 2 are paired, the other two hide constantly.

ARGH... sad news on the chromis, thanks for the heads up.

I was planning on a couple externals for sure, 2x 5000GPHish maybe. I'd like to run a dual pump system just for redundancy. I'm still in the early stages but never too early to start planning.

Thanks

my meredthi was miserable on prazi... not faded color but just wouldnt even look at food and sulked... after two days i removed.... he did a total 180. Hes in Nitrofuracin green currently and then Cupramine after. Hopefully that goes well. Then i will try to fatten him up for the 5 day cupramine treatment. I know he will not eat at all during that.
